A clinic in Hoole, open since 2016

Physiotherapy in Chester, usually within three working days

We’re two chartered physiotherapists in Hoole, ten minutes’ walk from the station. Tell us what hurts and we’ll find out why, treat it, and give you a plan that has an end. If physio isn’t the right thing, we’ll say so and tell you who to see instead.

  • No referral needed
  • First appointment £58
  • Step‑free entrance

What hurts?

Start with the nearest match. Each page says what we’d do, how long it tends to take and what it’s likely to cost.

  • My back or neck

Aching by mid‑afternoon, locked up after lifting something, or sending pain down an arm or a leg.

  • A sports injury

Runner’s knee, a sore Achilles, a pulled hamstring, an ankle you no longer trust, a shoulder that objects to serving.

  • I’ve had an operation

A new knee or hip, a rebuilt ligament or a repaired shoulder, and a sheet of exercises you’re not sure about.

  • Something else

Hips, wrists, feet, dizziness, or a pain you can’t pin down. Describe it and we’ll tell you honestly whether it’s one for us.

How we keep score: the angle a joint moves through, measured at each visit.

Will it help?
Usually. Most of what we see improves within six to eight weeks. If physio isn’t the right thing for you, we’ll say so at the first appointment and suggest who to see.
How many sessions?
Three to six, for most people. You’ll get an honest estimate at your first appointment, and we’ll tell you if it changes.
How much does it cost?
£58, then £46 a visit. That’s 45 minutes for a first appointment and 30 minutes for each follow‑up. See all the prices.
Do I need a referral?
No. You can come straight to us without seeing your GP. If you’re claiming on health insurance, bring your authorisation number.
How soon can I be seen?
Usually within three working days. We’re open until 7pm Monday to Thursday and on Saturday mornings, so most people can come without taking time off work.

Who you’ll see

The same physiotherapist at every visit, so you only have to explain it once.

More about the clinic

Finding exactly where a knee is sore. Most first appointments have some of this in them.
  • Hannah

    Founder and physiotherapist

Eleven years in NHS musculoskeletal clinics before opening Limberwell. Sees most of our backs, necks and people recovering from operations.

  • Dev

    Sports physiotherapist

Looks after runners and players from clubs around Chester. Will want to see your trainers.

  • Carys

    Front desk

The voice on the phone and the keeper of the diary. Knows which of them you should see.

Hannah and Dev are both chartered physiotherapists, registered with the regulator.

From three people we’ve treated

“I’d had a sore Achilles for most of a year. Dev gave me three exercises and told me when I could expect to be running properly again. He was out by a week.”

Gareth, runner, Upton

“I’d assumed I needed a new chair. What I needed was to get out of the one I had every forty minutes, and four visits to Hannah.”

Priya, works at a desk, Boughton

“Hannah came to the house twice in the first fortnight. By week five I walked to the clinic, which had been the target from the start.”

Alun, new knee, Vicars Cross
