The website packages

The terms, in plain English.

These are the terms for the fixed‑price website packages. They’re short on purpose. If anything in them is unclear, ask Joe before you book.

Last changed on 7 October 2026.

  1. Who’s who

“We” and “us” means Jolora Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (number 11216943), at coWorkz, Minerva Avenue, Chester, CH1 4QL. “You” means the business named on the booking. These packages are for businesses, so you’re booking in the course of your business and not as a consumer.

  2. What you’re buying

One of three packages: The One‑Pager, The Small Site or The Works. What each includes is set out on the packages page on the day you book, and that description is part of our agreement. If you ask for something outside your package, we’ll tell you what it would cost, and it only goes ahead if you say yes.

  3. The deposit

You pay £250 when you book your first call, and it comes off the price of your package. If, after that call, either of us thinks it isn’t a good fit, we refund all of it. If you skip the call, which you can once your brief is finished and says enough for us to start, Joe reads your brief instead, and the same goes if either of us then thinks it isn’t a good fit. Either of us can say so until we send your looks, or until you tell us to choose a look for you, whichever comes first. After that we’ve started work, and the deposit goes towards it and isn’t refundable.

  4. Paying the rest

Prices include VAT, and your invoices show how much of each is VAT. The £250 deposit is the amount you pay on the day, with its VAT inside it.

The rest of the price is invoiced when you’re happy with the website and it’s ready to hand over or go live. For The Works, half of the rest is invoiced once the brief is agreed, and the other half at the end.

Invoices are due within 14 days. We don’t hand over the code or put the website live until it’s paid for.

  5. How long it takes

Within 2 working days of your call with Joe we send you three looks for the top of your home page, to choose between. If you skip the call, those days are counted from the day you skip it. The first version is ready within 5 working days of the day you choose a look, or tell us to choose, for The One‑Pager, 10 for The Small Site and 15 for The Works. That depends on the brief being finished and on us having what we need from you: if we’re waiting for you, the clock waits too, and the time you take to choose a look isn’t counted. If we’re going to be late for any other reason, we’ll tell you as soon as we know.

  6. Changes

Each package includes rounds of changes: one for The One‑Pager, two for The Small Site and three for The Works. A round is one set of notes from you on the version we’ve shared, and us working through them. Choosing a look isn’t a round: you get one set of looks, and a second, within 2 working days of your saying so, if none of the first is right. Rounds begin with the first full version. Changes beyond those, or ones that add up to a different website from the one in the brief, are quoted for separately.

  7. What we need from you

Answers to the brief, any words, logos and pictures you want used, and your notes on each version without too long a wait. You confirm that you have the right to use whatever you give us. If a project goes quiet for 60 days because we’re waiting for you, we may invoice for the work done so far and pause it until you’re ready.

  8. Who owns what

Once you’ve paid in full, the design, the words, the pictures we made for you and the code are yours, to host, change or hand to someone else. A few parts belong to other people and come with their own licences, such as fonts, stock photographs and the software the editor runs on. We’ll tell you which, and anything that needs a paid licence is agreed with you first. We’d like to show the finished website as an example of our work, so when it’s finished we ask whether we may. It’s your choice, and we only show a website whose owner has said yes. We put a small line at the foot of the website saying who made it, with a link back to us, and we take it off whenever you ask.

  9. How we use AI

AI drafts some of the words and the code of your website, and Joe reads and corrects all of it before you see it. The AI is run by other companies, which our privacy policy names. What you tell us for your website, your brief included, is sent to them to be worked on, and they don’t use it to train their models. We send what the work needs and no more, and your own customers’ records are never put in. Please don’t put passwords or card numbers in your brief: the website takes out what it recognises as one, but it can’t recognise them all. The brief assistant, which asks about your business before the work starts, is one of these: it’s an AI, it says so, and it’s optional. A plain form asks the same questions, or you can skip both and tell Joe yourself. If there’s something you’d rather no AI saw, tell Joe and he’ll keep it out.

  10. Hosting and looking after it

This part is optional. If you’d like us to, we’ll put the website live, host it and keep it secure, backed up and up to date from £35 a month including VAT, billed monthly in advance. Making changes to the website for you, or hosting one with a lot of traffic, costs more, and we’ll agree the figure with you first. There’s no minimum term: tell us you want to stop, and we’ll hand over the code and end the hosting at the end of the month you’ve paid for.

  11. Moving up a package

You can move up to a larger package at any time. You pay the difference between the two prices plus £150, and you get everything the larger package includes.

  12. Your account

Booking sets up an account on our website, where you can see the designs, your invoices and your calls. Keep your password to yourself, and tell us if you think someone else has it.

  13. Your information

We use the details you give us to do the work, to invoice you and to keep in touch about it. When your website is finished we ask, once, whether you’d leave a review, unless you’ve told us you’d rather not be asked. We don’t sell your details or pass them on, except to the services we need to run the business, such as card payments and email. Our privacy policy has the rest.

  14. If something isn’t right

If something we built doesn’t work as it should, tell us within 30 days of it going live or being handed over and we’ll fix it without charge. That doesn’t cover problems caused by changes somebody else has made.

We aren’t responsible for losses we couldn’t reasonably have foreseen, or for lost profit or lost business, and our total liability to you is limited to what you’ve paid us for the package. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that the law says can’t be limited.

  15. Changing your mind

You can stop at any time. If you stop after building has started, you pay for the work done up to then, which is at least the deposit. If we have to stop, because we can’t do the work or because an invoice hasn’t been paid, we’ll refund anything you’ve paid for work we haven’t done.

  16. The law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and its courts settle any dispute. Before it comes to that, ring Joe. It’s quicker.
